Software Developer at Mimeo.com (New York, NY)

Mimeo.com is the innovator of online, on-demand document and distribution. We’re building an expert team of developers to build new products and features.  In this role, you’ll not only be responsible for software development, but also work closely with Product Management to develop and test new products and features. Ideal candidates are experienced developers who also understand UX Development and aren’t afraid to voice their opinions in a collaborative team environment. They are front-end development engineers who can build responsive and elegant web UIs with AJAX and similar technologies and also possess the skills of server side technologies to communicate to back end web services and APIs. The right individual for this role will be a motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work.


Responsibilities:



  • Interpret visual designs in HTML/CSS/Javascript

  • Leverage a REST-based API to power asynchronous embedded UI elements

  • Develop reusable JavaScript libraries and components with a well-defined and documented API

  • Maintain and update web services and server-side APIs using NET 4.x, LINQ, Entity Framework (EF), ASP.NET, Dependency Injection

  • Troubleshoot, test and modify existing client software


Required Skills and Experience: 



  • AJAX/HTML/CSS experience and an interest in user interface design.

  • Object-oriented JavaScript skills.

  • Experience with .NET/ASP and other server-side technologies like PHP or Java.

  • Knowledge of one or more client-side frameworks such as JQuery, Knockout, AngularJS, Backbone.JS, etc.

  • Ability to communicate directly with peers and managers while leading development to a completed and successful solution.

  • Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of project timelines.

  • Experience working on cross-browser platforms

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience required

  • Experience with cross platform mobile development a plus (Xamarin, Parse, etc.)
