Why it’s good…
We’re using Node to build a number of private and public API’s for some of our most valued customers. Building external API’s comes with it’s own special set of challenges and this is no different. We’d love to you help us ensure there is a good understanding of the API within the team, as well as helping external developers to ensure things run smoothly.
This role offers the balance of doing green fields Node development with some interesting and complex back-end integration. This is a high performance system that has to take high volumes of transactions on a regular basis. The aim is that all transactions are processed via the API and that creates plenty of technical challenge along the way to ensure performance and scalability. Add in the fact that there are multiple customer channels to interface with, including mobile and tablet, and there is plenty to keep you interested.
We’re creating a fantastic internal set-up. We’re funded like a product team, which means the product owner drives the backlog rather than the traditional deadline driven approach.
You'll be an integral part of a cross-functional agile team and contribute to all aspects of the iterative cycle. We have a culture of continuous feedback and you’ll need to be comfortable giving and receiving feedback and sharing your knowledge and experiences with the team.
