This position is for mobile web site development, not native, mobile applications that run on mobile devices.

CaptiveAire values its software developers highly and offers them immense opportunities for freedom and creativity while not having overbearing or micro management.  We value very highly our developer environment and provide the absolute best in terms of equipment and work environment.  We have an in-house espresso machine. What more could you need!  Our corporate office has been recently remodeled with more on the way.

This position will be solely focused on mobile development within a .NET C# environment using an established set of client-side technologies and libraries.  We are seeking a highly capable individual with extreme attention to detail with a passion for mobile development; as this is all you will do. Additional side duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with build and deployment infrastructure. (TeamCity, Octopus Deploy).

  • Leading the selection and adoption of an overall, for most cases, mobile library our team can standardize upon.

  • Teaching and sharing mobile development experience and knowledge.

  • Help shape and plan the mobile roadmap going forward.

  • Additional, internal tools sites to support various company operations, etc. (MVC, WebForms)

Platforms to be supported for fully functional mobile web sites will always include:

  • iPhone

  • iPad (regular, mini)

  • Android phones and tablets (typically 5" and larger within reason)

All hardware required for testing will be supplied.

When interviewing for this position, please be prepared to stay on-site anywhere from 1 - 4 hours.  Depending on how the interview progresses, you may be asked to do a short coding exercise to demonstrate your skills and expertise.  Interviews typically range from 1 to 2 on-site visits after an initial phone screen.  Candidates will typically be interviewed by 1 - 5 people.

As a developer, you will also have an opportunity to contribute to CaptiveAire's growing list of open source projects hosted on Github.
