We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Mobile/Web Engineer to kick off our development effort and help build our team. You will have the opportunity to lay the foundations for our development path and have real influence on technology direction and strategy. We are looking for someone who has been through the process of building from the ground up before and is both knowledgeable and skilled in all the latest technologies. You need to be a self-motivated problem solver with a passion for designing elegant systems and writing clean, solid code that scales and performs well.
We are looking for a person who has passion for both server-side and client-side development. We are currently deciding between Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Java, etc for the back-end and require someone with an extensive background in one to help guide on that decision. We will be developing across a variety of form factors and this role requires someone who has experience dealing with a breadth of front-end platforms (iOS, Android, all browsers) and is very quick to learn where there might be gaps in knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, reliable code across the stack
- Provide leadership and direction for architecture, data modeling, back-end services layer, front-end UI across multiple platforms, and server and hosting environments
- Develop process and system foundations for the growing team (Test framework, Agile processes, Build / Issue Tracking / Source Code Repository, etc)
- Be a Jack-of-all-Trades that can jump into new challenges and quickly deliver results
- Analyze, design and develop test cases and implement automated test suites
