User Interface Engineer

The ideal candidate should have strong creative front-end skills to develop product ready web applications, functional prototypes and interactive demos for a variety of mobile-based initiatives.
A successful UI developer at Amplify Learning is a creative team player and has a good understanding of design, interaction and usability. Our UI developers work closely with the UX and Visual design teams and development teams to push the boundaries of what is currently possible through strong collaboration and iteration.

Responsibilities of the UI Developer:
- Rapidly develop and iterate prototypes that run on mobile devices to validate design concepts based on wireframe designs and high-fidelity mockups created in Photoshop or Illustrator
- Implement design layouts created in Photoshop or Illustrator in code for various platforms and browsers using the latest front-end technologies
- Write elegant, maintainable and extensible code. Code that is accessible, optimized for performance, and meets the highest possible quality standards
- Effectively communicate front-end technology implications and blockers in a clear and timely manner to manager and stakeholders
- Participate in requirements gathering and functional specification activities, providing feedback on implementation feasibility
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate front-end code with other technologies including server side code, APIs and web services, and content management systems when required
