Front-End Developer at Highest-Rated Company in LA at Cornerstone OnDemand (Santa Monica, CA)

Cornerstone was ranked the 4th best medium-sized company to work for in the Glassdoor Employee Choice Awards 2014. We work hard and we play hard, so there’s lots of vacation and a generous options package.  Enjoy the free snacks, play some ping pong and foosball for a break, and in a few months you can hang out in the arcade or the company restaurant that are being built. The weather and swanky office in Santa Monica are about as good as it gets.

As for the position, you’ll be working with the marketing team where we work on all the face-melting, fun stuff! The marketing department at Cornerstone is a creative, smart, and cool bunch of people who need your help communicating and connecting with consumers. Our main job is to tell people how our web-based software puts the human back in human resources by getting employees involved in self-management. We love using cutting-edge CSS and JS to create immersive microinteractions that bring the web to life. Our team and design are like peanut butter and jelly; we work closely with the design team to craft great experiences. You have the power to make a big impact at Cornerstone.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn and grow as well.  Dig into a new technology or learn from your fellow employees teaching classes on subjects ranging from UX design to beer tasting. You’ll go to at least one web development conference a year, and day to day, we’re always looking to try out new ideas and techniques in our projects to make the web as awesome as it can be.

You should have a good design eye, know some Illustrator and Photoshop, keep up on the latest trends in all things web, and strive to follow (and figure out) best practices in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. We’ve used Drupal for a lot of projects, so PHP and a familiarity with Dries’ baby are a big bonus, as is being able to survive in a full stack.
