We are looking for a developer to contribute to front-end development of a software platform with an AngularJS front-end and a Python-based API backend. With the necessary skill set you will also be able to contribute to the API backend and develop API clients interfacing with our robotic automation.
The CFB is an independent research unit at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) that conducts research on the development of cell factories—microbial strains that produce chemicals through biosynthesis.
We are researching ways to speed up the development of cell factories using basic research and by setting up an efficient engineering workflow for cell factory development and generating high-quality analytics for our biologists. We use robotics, modern genome-wide assays, large-scale data analysis, and computational modeling to speed up the development of cell factories. You will collaborate closely with computational and experimental biologists at CFB to connect these technologies and provide the analytics we need.
You will have a lot of freedom in choosing the most suitable technologies. The platform is in early stages of development, targeted at modern browsers, and we have full control of the software stack.
What we can offer
- Long-term funding and support to build a unique software platform from the ground up
- Chance to work with a young, enthusiastic, and international group of engineers and scientists
- A mixture of academic and startup company-like environment. (It is a goal of our institute to generate spin-out companies and you will feel that in the way we work)
Salary and terms of employment
The salary and appointment terms will be based on collective agreement. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union. The place of work will be the CFB building at Kogle Allé 6, Hørsholm, just north of Copenhagen. The period of employment is 3 years with the possibility for extension.
We will help with relocation and getting settled in Denmark.
