Groupon is looking for great developers. We work in small, independent and agile teams, and collaborate with product designers to implement stuff quickly. Our team is passionate about creating a great work environment for software engineers. To us, that means a great deal of autonomy, ownership of as much of the stack as possible, working closely with each other. We like to pair program, practice test-driven development, use new technologies where appropriate, and learn from one another every day.
You will be working on GrouponLive in New York, a fast-growing business unit that covers Groupon’s live inventory like concerts, music, and other live events. A lot of our team comes from a startup background, and we tend to operate with a “startup mentality,” so expect to make a big impact. The code we check in today is running in production that week — sometimes that day. So we need people that will take pride in the quality of their code and take it personally when there’s a bug that slows the site down.
