Under the supervision of the Web Development Director, this person will get an opportunity to work with our product, edit, and sales teams to define and execute our digital products. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and highly practical, with the willingness and ability to handle a wide variety of challenges in a fast paced environment. Developers at National Journal may be called upon to work on any part of the site, rather than adhering to the usual labels of "front-end" and "back-end".
Responsibilities Include:
- Participating in a team-oriented environment to develop new web applications
- Maintaining existing PHP and JavaScript codebases, including troubleshooting bugs and adding new features
- Balancing a variety of concurrent projects while meeting deadlines
- Demonstrating attention to detail while implementing technical specifications
