PERFORMANCE PROFILE:
Boingo’s R&D engineering team takes new technologies and turns them into real products. Are you up to speed on all the latest technologies: cloud engineering, location based services, dynamic programming, NoSQL? If you like taking interesting new technologies and turning them into efficient elegant systems that solve real business problems, this is the role for you. This role will test your knowledge of network engineering, programming, and systems integration. You will build on these skills as well as work with the latest emerging technology as you help build Boingo’s next generation of networks and the systems that support them.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interface with other business units to determine project requirements
- Design and develop proof of concept solutions to business problems
- Document R&D solutions and help integrate them into existing systems
- Maintain and Support ongoing operations of R&D and Partner systems
- Evaluate, propose and implement new solutions to increase the availability and performance of Boingo’s networks around the world.
- Develop new systems in the cloud to achieve high availability with geographic diversity.
- Test new networking technologies and evaluate how they fit in with Boingo’s existing systems.
- Design and document new architectures for Boingo’s owned and operated network.
- Evaluate and improve current network configuration and monitoring solutions.
