The Webmaster is responsible for leading and delivering all aspects of the Corporate and National Membership websites. The RI web application environment is built on a responsive content management foundation with interactive member experience management architected into the platform.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the on-going launch of a new responsive member portal web application.Manage and administer e-Commerce capabilities within the web application environment.Provide web technical leadership and manage the implementation, and assist with the development of CMS and keep up with technology advancements and trendsData visualization using D3.js data visualization tools.Evaluate, recommend and implement as needed a modern JavaScript framework such as backbone or angular to meet the growing needs of the website.Fluent in Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat in order to collect visual specifications from designers.Make use of HTML5, jQuery or Flash to generate interactive and engaging page elements to meet website application needs.Create and compress sound and video files for internet delivery, and create web-optimized PDF documents with active hyperlinks and menu bars.Debug issues that arise with the performance of the company websites.Review and monitor all site statistics and make recommendations for performance improvements.Ensure the web servers, hardware and software are operating accurately.Responsive design techniques supporting mobile and multi-platform delivery.Examine and analyze all web application traffic.Regulate and manage access rights across all users.Fix links that don't work and pictures that aren't appearing properly.Work with management to identify supported browsers and browser versions, and perform browser-specific testing to confirm support.
