What you will really be doing
- You will help set up the native app discipline for Coolblue, built for iOS or Android.
- You will deliver popular apps in an efficient way to the mobile app stores.
How will you be doing this?
- You prioritize your own work together with your team and Product Owner. You will receive immediate feedback from end-users and you will have a lot of opportunities to experiment.
- You will be using the right tools for whatever job will be thrown at you. Choices that were made in the past are not rules.
- You're part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team; through collaboration with your colleagues you'll develop both as a specialist and generalist.
- You will work in a motivated team to meet ambitious deadlines. There is always a budget for good ideas.
What we have worked on last quarter
- A new responsive design. One codebase, lots of devices, but always the optimal user experience while striving to keep all functionality.
- Changing our product page. Both visual as well as technical. We've taken advantage of the opportunity to implement a flexible and responsive grid so that we can change parts of the page easily. With a cool design, of course!
- Performance. Since the number of Coolblue customers is growing every month, we had to improve our website. We've changed a lot of images, CCS and JS adaptations.
What a day in the office might look like
Today is the big day. The final sprint before launch of the first Coolblue app ever is finalized and the app is now ready for demo. Hard work, but fun too. The weeks leading up to the launch have been hectic. The app is practically done, but the other "product pieces' need to fall into place. You double-check them all. Triple-check. Website, check. Screenshots, check. A lot of details and footwork to sort out. But now it's finally out there. You take a deep breath, knowing you've produced a good basis for this project. Time to show it to the company. Let the demo begin!
Team
You will be working in a team with three to five other developers, each of them with their own specialization, ranging from UX to C# to Android or iOS. Your team will also have a Scrum Master and a Product Owner.
