In this role:
- You will design and implement APIs so that JavaScript/Node.js developers can harness the power of Amazon Web Services.
- You will develop and release open source tools and libraries for the JavaScript/Node.js community.
- You will manage projects on Github, interacting with JavaScript/Node.js developers from around the world.
- You will be the voice of AWS in the JavaScript/Node.js community, sharing your expertise on blogs and at conferences.
- You will build sample applications that demonstrate best practices for using Amazon Web Services.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years professional experience in software development
- Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
- Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
- Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
- Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
- Excellent written and spoken communication
- Understanding of web services technologies such as HTTP, WSDL, XSD and REST
- Strong passion and experience for developing APIs and tools that provide a great customer experience
- Experience with public speaking, especially in events targeting software developers.
- Experience with contributing to Open Source community
- Experience developing with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and general Web 2.0 techniques
- Experience with web application testing and its automation - across multiple browsers
- Experience developing Ajax interfaces with Ajax libraries and frameworks (e.g. Angular.js, Ember.js, Knockout, jQuery)
- Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages: CoffeeScript, PHP, Python, Ruby
