As a member of the web development team at ubicast, you will be working on improving our existing products, as well as developing upcoming applications, continuing to learn and grow as developers with our team, and hacking away on personal projects along the way. ubicast’s development until now has been centered on three projects that are currently available in the Japanese market. First is Gyro-n, a website analytics package that includes form and landing page optimization, data gathering, and a dashboard for reporting this data. Second is a suite of tools and websites built on the OpenCms platform for managing content.  These websites include e-commerce sites and a network of websites for one of the largest publishers in Japan. Third is the entire IT system of one of our group companies that operates globally. The system includes customer management, shipping management, and websites in eight languages.

With the momentum from these business ventures, ubicast is looking to grow and move forward with completely new projects, and to do so we are looking for developers to join at the ground level. We employ a flat company hierarchy, and encourage our developers to pursue their interests and favored technologies. Given the wide array of projects we work on, the technologies and tools utilized by our team are equally diverse. We have and continue to work on applications written in Scala, Groovy, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, CoffeeScript, Ruby, and Python.  If front-end development is your thing, we use AngularJS, Backbone.js, and even dabble in Bacon.js on occasion.
