At Hotelied we're on a mission to empower consumers like never before. To help consumers finally leverage their digital footprints and their data to their own benefit. Consumers using data for their own benefit... Can you imagine? We can. We're turning the tables on e-commerce and we want your help!

Our Director of Engineering will be the cornerstone for the development of both the Hotelied product and our in-house engineering team. You will have the technical skills and experience necessary to guide team members through tough challenges, but will not be afraid to dive in and write code alongside them. As part of the foundational team, your role is essential. You will be a critical member of the company and will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the direction of our product and impact the future of the business.

As a Director of Engineering, you are familiar with the full development stack, but most comfortable developing on the backend. You must be an expert in Node.js.You are a pro at developing scalable data systems, asynchronous programs, and a master at both writing and implementing APIs. You are willing and able to think through the product and will be leading the development and testing of new features and analytics.

The ideal candidate is a startup-minded engineer ready to roll-up their sleeves, take ownership and make large, immediate contributions. We are building Hotelied to be the premier personalized luxury hotel booking platform worldwide, and we need exceptionally talented engineers to accomplish this.

This position will report directly to our co-founders and be based in New York City, which is still pretty much the best city in the world. (Remote candidates will be considered, but NYC candidates are preferred.)
