What This Job is About:

  • Owning the mobile products for Slickdeals across multiple devices

  • Forward thinking product planning and product design that delivers a cohesive experience across mobile and web

  • Developing a comprehensive mobile product roadmap to deliver on business goals

  • Working with internal stakeholders and customers to answer questions, gather insights, and bring new features and offers to production

  • Managing the product development process from design, development, integration and testing

What We're Looking For

  • Creativity: always thinking about ways to improve and new features for the product

  • Ambition: a strong drive to get things done and willingness to roll up your sleeves

  • Experience: someone who’s been around the block and knows mobile/web tech in consumer internet products - specifically the needs of different mobile users and mobile devices (iOS, Android, Windows, Phones, Tablets, and more!)

  • Passion: someone who can adopt, live, and breath the Slickdeals lifestyle and can relate to the Slickdeals community

  • Flexibility: someone who can juggle multiple projects and shift gears from concept to execution

  • Attention to detail: respect for the fact that managing the details are critical to success

  • Teamplayers: you’ll be working design designers and engineers as a team to see things to fruition

What's a Typical Week Like?

  • Work with one of our UX designers to sketch wireframes to improve a feature on the app

  • Monitor the landscape for new business opportunities or technologies and evaluate them to see if they make sense for Slickdeals. Keep tabs on competitors and see if they’ve come up with something new and if we can do better

  • Brainstorm new concepts with the design and engineering teams and figuring out the scope of a project. You’ll help prioritize our roadmap and chunk things out into manageable milestones and deliver an MVP. You’ll build product requirements and own a project to completion

  • You’ll gather feedback on a newly released product feature from our community or business partners, and gracefully respond with a quick fix to a bug they discovered

  • Coordinating with the marketing team to monitor and analyze paid install campaigns or marketing campaigns. You might end up building customized experiences for paid installs vs organic for example

  • Collaborate with our reporting teams to measure and test your releases. You’ll analyze what works, what doesn't, and find new things to test. You’ll celebrate successes with the team, and learn from others

  • Spend time reviewing new features and testing them with the QA teams

  • You’ll have the hard job of prioritizing tasks. Sometimes unexpected bugs appear or third party SDKs break… you’ll have to decide whether to fix it now and put other projects at risk, or if you’ll postpone the release to give the team time to fix it

  • You’ll be critical in keeping the rest of the team in sync with initiatives and communicating to them the progress of multiple projects. You’re the one responsible for giving everyone insight to the inner workings of the product development lifecycle
