We are seeking an individual based in the US or Canada to serve an ongoing development role in a small distributed company. This means you will work at home and more-or-less make your own schedule.

Our developers must be self-motivated and quality-focused. Always eager to improve. Always eager to learn. Never hesitant to throw something away in favor of something better.

We use git, RHEL, nginx, apache, redis, python3.3, postgresql, as well as a number of other open-source projects. We write quality code that is used by thousands of people every day.

The company owner is a senior engineer. He likes to dabble in advanced python areas like metaclasses, generators, and web frameworks. What this means is that you will be working in conjunction with engineers on most levels. It also means that you have to be "balanced". You need to be able to talk to customers from time to time and have them walk away thinking you are awesome.

We think it is great if you have a family, kids, and take time to spend with them.

The application that you will be working on serves a member base of several thousand and sees quite a bit of traffic during the day. We need to add to our current development staff with a focus on making awesome administrative features. That is just the start though.

We push the envelope on using new browser technologies as well as server technologies. Pushstate, requirejs, underscorejs, jquery, bootstrap, responsive, mobile, websockets, chat, document rendering, and so on and so forth.

We encourage you to be passionate in your response to us and tell us why you would be a good fit. We can hire a developer anywhere, but we'd like a great one.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
