Who are we?

Are you in to disruptive innovation? Fired up to transform education? Join our growing team.

We’re creating the world’s first competency-based, adaptive platform to power the best brands in education. We’re a fast-growing startup, owner-operated, and located in Dupont Circle.

We serve hundreds of leading education organizations under our Difference Engine, Campus Pack, and Learning Objects brands, inventing and delivering next-gen education technology products. Our team of technology ninjas, education gurus, and business leaders collaborate with our partners on their most urgent and exciting opportunities.

What would you do?

You’ve presented to clients, and helped them sort out needs vs. wants. You've built some slick web apps and designed some enticing interfaces. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, check. Yet, you feel held back. You're sick of government contracts and boring projects in generic office buildings. Your job doesn’t align with your philosophy. You think, "I could build something better than this". You post your personal projects to GitHub when you get the time, but not as much as you'd like. You’re ready for a change. We’re looking for you.

We’ve got a long wish list, but we know you can’t always get what you want (but sometimes you get what you need). What we need is a UX/UI generalist.

We’ll evaluate candidates as individuals, not against a checklist. So if you have some awesome skill that’s not on our list, but think would be applicable, we want to hear it. You’ll need a breadth of skills along with some depth in them. Of course there are some must haves, but we know being an expert in everything isn’t practical. But you will need the skills and chops to hit the ground running.
