Responsibilities
- Architect and develop efficient, scalable and robust web application
- Play a major role in the design, development, deployment and maintenance of applications
- Build dynamic, high-volume web applications using agile development methodology
- Work closely with other engineers in a small, informal team environment
- Contribute to the overall design and architecture of the close-knit Balluun team
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science
- 5+ years of hands-on, object-oriented, PHP/MySQL, MVC, AJAX professional experience
- Ability to design database tables from informal specifications
- Ability to write and debug MySQL queries
- Ability to use Javascript/JQuery to create a compelling and dynamic UX
- Experience with Facebook Connect API (PHP and Javascript)
- Familiarity with JS, CSS, HTML, SVN
- Experience in designing both front-end and back-end applications
- A passion for building great software and pride in the quality of your programming
- Startup mentality: self-starter, proactive, flexible
Preferred
- Experience building Software as a Service (SaaS) applications
- Experience with social networks
- Experience in e-commerce (preferred business to business e-commerce)
- Experience working on large-scale consumer website applications
