LAMP Developer for Company Using Technology for Social Change at THE Center For Social Innovation (Needham, MA)

C4 is a community of clinicians, social scientists, policy analysts, consumers and educators dedicated to using knowledge creatively to improve the lives of vulnerable populations. Through research and evaluation, training, technical assistance and web-based communications, C4 brings theory to the streets, applying the knowledge of best practices to real world settings in the areas of homelessness, mental health, addictions, at-risk youth, and other issues our staff cares about deeply.


C4 is seeking a full-time Developer whose primary function is to work with a team of designers and  technologists to develop advanced multimedia learning tools. The Developer position will report to the Lead Technologist in the Research and Design Lab. This position comes with benefits and will end on December 31, 2014 but may be extended if additional project work is available.


Responsibilities:



  • Work in collaboration with content, design and technology team members to conceptualize and develop multimedia learning tools.

  • Offer expert opinions and ideas for the conceptualization, creation and deployment of online learning tools  and resources using the latest technology.

  • Collaborate as a part of a team to advance C4’s innovative and creative expertise in advancing technology  to help solve real world challenges.

  • Map content from Google Documents into XML templates for rendering in interactive courseware.

  • Assist with simple interactive component development for C4’s online course platforms (writing HTML,  JavaScript, and CSS3).

  • Draft HTML email for company newsletters and campaigns.

  • Support senior staff with client technical support and communication
