Senior Open Source Software Developer at William Hill US (Las Vegas, NV)

Responsible for developing high quality software end to end; the successful application will be involved in all aspects of software development, from architecture to design right through to delivery of code, testing and deployment support.



  • Ensure software development methods utilize best practices and maintain high quality, security and performance.

  • Ensure protection of intellectual property and source code and adhere to company source code management processes and procedures.

  • Provide regular feedback on improvement to BIS software development processes and procedures.

  • Identify and architect solutions making use of relevant Open Source technologies.

  • Remain fully compliant with regulatory rules and standards at all times.

  • Adhere to all Company and BIS Department standards.

  • Actively participate in Agile processes and provide appropriate feedback to improve team delivery, performance and/or processes where necessary.

  • Provide Outstanding Service at all times, both to internal and external customers.

  • Ensure alignment to company and department initiatives and strategies.

  • Meet deadlines and ensure quality and security is of high standards. 

  • Always look to enhance skills and knowledge. Demonstrates leadership and mentors more junior colleagues.

  • Help maintain a culture whereby optimum quality and performance is delivered.

  • Communicate in an effective manner with peer staff, management, and customers.

  • Support colleagues within the BIS team.Identify and plan areas for personal development.

  • Participate in a BIS team that fosters a multi-skilled environment.

  • Support a fun and consistent working environment for the team.
