NodeJS Hero: Next Generation Health Informatics Platform at True Colours Project, Oxford University (Oxford, United Kingdom)

You will be working on True Colours, an award winning healthcare technology for gathering patient reported outcome measures in: mood disorders, orthopaedics, diabetes, learning difficulties, dementia, forensics, and eating disorders. In its seventh year and with 1,000s of active participants across multiple NHS Trusts, we are now seeking substantial expansion. We expect to be tackling major new conditions, with new sensors, at a national level. Our aim is to create a next generation platform for data-driven clinical research in Oxford and beyond.

You will be part of an Agile team developing data-driven HTML5 apps, web services, and unit tests, using CoffeeScript, Node.js, MongoDB and Ubuntu. We need people who have got both the problem solving skills to tackle complex asynchronous code, and a rich knowledge of computer science to guide their solutions. You will be capable of intense focus and precision, yet have the ability to be open and collaborative during pair programming tasks. Plus you will need an enthusiasm for mastering the tools to keep our project at the cutting edge and the experience to make hard architectural choices. Don’t worry if you've not tackled everything in our toolchain, we are more interested in an enthusiasm for learning new frameworks than an enormous tick-list of technologies.
