About the Position
Architizer is looking for an experienced contract product designer to craft the world’s leading marketplace for architects. If you’re a user-focused designer with a keen sense of what works (as well as the experience to demonstrate it) and enjoy working closely with a world class engineering team to realize your vision, then this position is for you. Responsibilities will include rapid prototyping to communicate your design concepts, development of guidelines that establish your keen visual direction across the site and pixel perfect mockups of both new features and improvements to existing features. The ideal candidate would be able to spend the majority of their time working at Architizer HQ – tweaks and improvements can be handled remotely thereafter. We estimate the project will take 3-6 months.

You obsess over the details, but can see the bigger picture. You have a sophisticated understanding of technologies and methodologies and have experience designing platforms and marketplaces.If you’re passionate about sublime product experiences and have a desire to deliver effective experiences that meet clear business objectives then you’re what we’re looking for.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and design new features/products.
- Rapid prototype proposed solutions.
- Design detailed mockups for implementation by the technology team.
- Overall look and feel of Architizer.com and related properties.
- Maintain style guides to ensure consistency across the site.
