At Devex, our mission is to make global development professionals more efficient in their day-to-day work and we are currently seeking a UX/UI Designer & Developer to ensure that our member community has a positive user experience when interacting with our digital communications content.
Based out of our Washington, DC headquarters, the UX/UI Designer & Developer will round out our Marketing & Communications Team by supporting the delivery of content and increasing the effectiveness of our audience communication across devices and platforms by executing design, development and testing priorities for key marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Establish an object-oriented framework for building re-usable, maintainable, and performant JS/HTML/CSS
- Work to create JS & HTML/CSS markup and templates with a strong focus on clarity, maintainability, flexibility, cross-browser compatibility and performance
- Update, enhance, and maintain existing websites:
- Move web pages from devex.com domain to Marketo so that they can be more easily maintained by the marketing team
- Adjust existing templates to become mobile friendly
- Adjust existing templates for dynamic updates
- Make periodic maintenance updates to existing pages
- Build new websites from start to finish
- Actively participate in planning, wire-framing, testing, and delivery activities related to marketing and communications digital content to fully understand and meet user goals
- Develop and lead the implementation of front-end coding and design standards
- Work closely with the marketing and communications team and graphic designers to ensure the best possible user experience on all devices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of best practices and standards in the areas of coding tools, languages, and APIs
- Accept program content from the marketing team and execute visual design and development using Marketo
- Collaborate with and serve as a resource to project teams working on a variety of projects at one time
