The Role & Your Impact
- Be a foundational member of a newly formed team. Get in early, collaborate, and contribute to our evolving Node.js application platform.
- We are actively recruiting a number of skilled developers who love working with JavaScript and are excited about working on something new! No legacy code here, just brand new projects to sink your teeth into!
- This role is focused, but not limited to designing and implementing server side solutions that will support our new range of shopping experiences.
More Specifics
- The developer will be involved in all aspects of site/feature development from start to finish. You are able to take strong ownership of your work and interact with all stakeholders.
- Leverage the best technologies for the job and make recommendations of your own.
- You will provide expertise and knowledge towards best practices and processes for Javascript and Node.js development.
- Collaborate and contribute to other engineering teams, supporting the evolution of our Node.js platform.
- Take part in offsite adventures with the team.
You
- Advanced JavaScript skills and strong knowledge of Node.js and experience with all layers of the MEAN stack.
- Understanding of javascript patterns and the challenges involved with creating maintainable javascript appiclications.
- Web fundamentals HTTP, AJAX, WebSockets, HTML5, CSS3.
- Experience with one or more popular web development languages other then javascript.
- Strong CS fundamentals in Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Networking.
- Good understanding of frontend development and popular frontend MVC frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum a plus.
