Sr. Web Developer Manager/Team Lead at Xamarin (San Francisco, CA)

Your Role:


Xamarin is looking for a talented Sr. Web Developer Manager/Team Lead to join our fast-paced marketing web team in our San Francisco headquarters who will be responsible for maintaining and developing sections of Xamarin’s primary website as well as our satellite sites. As a web technology leader you will be responsible for bringing in and implementing new technology. You will work with the internal IT teams for successful administration of all the marketing web properties. You will be responsible for management and execution of marketing websites from a technical strategy point of view. You will collaborate with multiple departments on a daily basis to improve interactions with customers, increase conversions, and create innovative web solutions that delight our visitors. You have hands-on experience working on both front-end and back-end development



You are highly motivated, reliable, detailed, and driven to produce high quality work. You must thrive in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will have minimum 4-6 years of experience in web development and production. Individual must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team and with other departments. Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines is a must.


This position is located in San Francisco, CA.  Xamarin provides relocation assistance.


Your Responsibilities:




  • Manage a team of developers (front-end, backend and QA) on day-to-day basis




  • Develop clean, efficient, maintainable code




  • Participate in architecture and technical discussions with a tight-knit group of engineers




  • Help align projects from concept through development, QA, staging, and production deployment




  • Function effectively in a high-volume, fast-changing work environment while managing multiple time-critical issues




  • Work in a collaborative manner with the Marketing, Design, and Engineering departments to maintain and improve our website




What We’re Looking For:




  • Experience with project management and project prioritization a must




  • Extensive experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery in a production environment




  • Experience with Node.js and ASP.NET MVC in production environments




  • Adept at turning wireframes and mockups into HTML / CSS with a working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator or Sketch




  • Passion for design, user experience, marketing, and information architecture




  • Experience using CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS), we use LESS




  • Git / GitHub experience; comfortable handling complex merges with frequent regularity




Bonus:




  • Strong knowledge of website analytics (segment.io, Mixpanel, New Relic, etc.) and optimization tools, including A/B testing and Google Analytics




  • Experience using MS SQL or MySQL



  • BS/BA in relevant field
