Primary Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented, creative, and passionate front end developer for a challenging opportunity to develop and innovate on the eBay buyer experience. You will specialize in creating high performance client side applications powering eBay's commerce platform having immediate positive impact on millions of users daily. You will contribute to design, development and agile efforts for the presentation tier at eBay. As a self-motivated and enthusiastic member of our team, you will work with extremely talented peers in a fun environment pushing the performance bar on advanced JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Java applications. You will enjoy the challenges of mastering the behavior of the major browsers to deliver a consistent and elegant user experience.
- Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications focused on improving buyer experience
- Develop innovative solutions that not only meet functionality requirements but meet performance, scalability and reliability requirements while adhering to implementation schedules, development principles and product goals
- Must be able to independently design, code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex features
- Help define product requirements, estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, rollout system changes and evaluate product performance
- Share release management duties on feature rollouts, share on-call responsibilities
