As an engineer here you’ll work on everything from our 3rd-Party CoffeeScript deployed across tens of thousands of sites to our self-serve exchange workflow management app with significant growth opportunities – from jumping into our Scala-based data pipeline to provisioning AWS resources with Chef. We take pride in treating software development as a craft, delivering SOLID, maintainable and well-tested code.
What You'll Be Doing
- Architecting and developing new features for our real-time decisioning platform.
- Building out our micro-service oriented infrastructure.
- Collaborating with product owners and interaction designers.
- Developing elegant solutions to complex problems.
- Writing code that is performant, well-tested and easy to maintain.
Right In Your Wheelhouse
- You've significantly contributed to a production Rails application.
- SOLID principles are second nature to you.
- Deep understanding of how to write maintainable code.
- You practice TDD and know the difference between Test-Driven and Test-First.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team.
It Would Be Cool If You Had Experience With
- Our tech stack: Rails, CoffeeScript, Backbone.js, Bootstrap, HAML, LESS, etc.
- Experience working with and/or designing a service oriented architecture.
- Contributions to, or your own, open source projects.
- Interaction or user experience design.
