About the Job:
- Refactor, re-architect and rebuild the HTML, CSS, JavaScript and CMS for Optimizely's marketing website.
- Implement A/B and multivariate experiments on Optimizely's product and marketing website.
- Work within Optimizely to foster the best testing culture.
- Develop effective ways to educate users on experiment results, best practices and learning both inside and outside of Optimizely.
Requirements:
- Strong web design aesthetic and an understanding of the fundamentals of user experience.
- Ability to rapidly execute hi-fidelity mockups with a strong attention to pixel-level detail and craftsmanship.
- Expert level command of mobile first, responsive/adaptive HTML and CSS.
- Strong vanilla Javascript skills and working knowledge of popular libraries like jQuery
- Solid understanding of accessibility and cross-browser issues.
- Excitement for emerging Web standards and the fundamentals of writing clean, maintainable code. You promote best practices, great usability, and persistently push the limits of what browsers can do.
- Experience with popular static and database driven CMSs like WordPress, assemble.io, Jekyll, Drupal, etc.
- Track record of being able to ship code, both independently and as part of a small team. You can manage your own time, fulfill several project requests, and meet tight deadlines.
Nice to have:
- Solid understanding of the latest community defined web performance principles and tools to implement them.
- Solid understanding of REST principles and experience using REST APIs.
- Experience with node.js.
- Working knowledge of Git.
- Ability to write usable documentation.
- Experience in or an appreciation of user experience, web design and branding.
- Experience with Grunt, Saas and LESS.
