We’re a well-funded, VC backed Bitcoin startup looking to expand our NYC development team. You would be one of a handful of developers building a trading platform targeting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. You’ll work with our international team of experts in related financial and compliance fields to enhance our platform.
We’re looking for self-motivated engineers with a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and a passion for communication as well as coding.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Write new features in Coffeescript and Javascript on the NodeJS platform
- Create rich frontend components using Backbone.js
- Design pages using the Jade templating engine and the Stylus style sheets language
- Work with business analysts to design and define new user experiences
- Maintain and extend existing build, deploy, and testing scripts and automation supporting our web frontend
- Research and contribute to open source tools
- Comfortably work with open source tools on Linux systems
