We are building a digital media-driven educational network to connect students throughout the world, breaking down economic and geographic barriers to quality education. We need a Technology Adviser to help guide us there.
We want to reform education to embrace media as a means for students to engage with their local communities and share that engagement within a global network. We are well funded by friends and family, as well as an established educational software company. Proof of concept is in progress with a select group of institutions that we are partnering with.
We have outsourced initial development work to 303 Software based in Denver, but we are ready to on-board a dedicated individual.
The Lead Technology Adviser will:
- Lead our big-picture development strategy
- Negotiate and manage contracts-for-hire on various projects
- Execute hands-on programming requirements as necessary, using the outside programming firm as support team
- Transition to understand the coding of the currently-outsourced product
Cash compensation will vary based on experience and time commitment. Equity considerations will be made for the right fit as we move forward.
We are hoping this individual will transition into a full-time CTO position as we grow. The position will be part-time to start and will likely not require a full-time commitment for the next year. It is perfect for someone currently finishing school and/or looking for a passion project to ease into for the long haul. You can keep your current job as we don’t require a huge time commitment at this stage (low-risk), and you can get involved with a potential game-changer on the ground floor (high-reward).
Telecommuting is a possibility.
