Nokia HERE is seeking an outstanding Software Engineer to join the Place Discovery team of HERE Maps. Engineers on this team design, build and optimize backend services that power HERE Maps’ search and discovery user features, personalization, recommender systems, targeting and more.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional coding skills, be a self-driven and systematic worker and share a deep love for creating software products. Join us! This position is full-time and is based in Berlin (Mitte). The workplace is very international, the work language is English.
Responsibilities
- Contribute production-level JAVA code to HERE Maps’ Search & Recommendations services
- Work closely with machine learning researchers to design and implement new algorithms
- Create tools for analyzing massive data sets
- Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale backend services
- Work closely with our product and design teams
