Pantheon—a Web development firm located in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia—is in the market for an experienced C# Desktop and Web Application developer to work on a project for the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
As the prime contractor on the project, Pantheon is responsible for building and supporting tools that enable hospitals and health care plans to report their health care data and outcomes to the public. These tools, as well as several of our other projects, handle large amounts of data that require us to build advanced stored procedures mechanisms in a Windows desktop application. An important goal of our efforts is to allow users to load multiple data sets, perform data mappings and apply crosswalks, manage measures, establish reporting parameters, and export data so it can be used to generate reports.
This is a highly visible project that involves multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, software developers, and support staff who will work with our Federal client to support the thousands of users to rely on these tools.
The C# Desktop/Web Application Developer will be responsible for maintaining, extending, and re-architecting a Winforms application that processes data into a desktop application with either a locally run Angular.js front-end or a WPF front-end. Other responsibilities include:
- Becoming an expert in the data used by our clients;
- Developing testable logic that can be implemented as stored procedures;
- Integrating data logic into a web or desktop application;
- Implementing a technical solution based on business requirements and best practices
- Communicating implementation progress multiple times daily
- Keeping technical implementation on time and within budget
